History

Craven-Ellis Cemetery, known over the years as Stafford City, Stafford Public, and Stafford Colored Cemetery, is a 3.57-acre burial ground in Stafford, Fort Bend County (county designation FB-C058). Its roughly 176 recorded graves date back to 1901, and the "Colored Cemetery" name reflects its long use by the area's African American community.
