History
Built in the mid-1920s across the street from the passenger depot, the Santa Fe Railway Freight Depot handled freight for the Kansas City, Mexico and Orient line, with offices in its two-story section overlooking the loading areas. Saved from demolition alongside the passenger depot, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989 and today serves as the Santa Fe Crossing Senior Center.
