History

The Christian-Green Gallery is a principal exhibition space of the Art Galleries at Black Studies (AGBS) at the University of Texas at Austin, the sole on-campus entity dedicated to showcasing the art of Africa and the African diaspora. Founded in 2016 within the College of Liberal Arts, AGBS holds a collection of nearly 1,300 objects and mounts exhibitions ranging from contemporary art to archives and material culture.
