History

Austin banker Eugene Bremond, the driving force behind the Bremond Block, lived in this house at 404 West Seventh Street from 1874 until his death in 1910; its earliest portion dates to about 1872. The surrounding block of family homes was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1970.
