History

The Walter Bremond House at 711 San Antonio Street in Austin's Bremond Block began about 1872 as a one-story limestone building and was enlarged in 1887 with a two-story porch and a crested Second Empire mansard roof. It is one of eleven houses in the National Register-listed district built largely for the merchant-banker Bremond family.
