History
The Georgetown Light and Water Works at 403 W. 9th Street is a brick industrial building erected in 1911 to house the city's municipal power and water operations. It is considered one of the best-preserved and only fully intact examples of early industrial architecture in Georgetown, and it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1996. The building was remodeled in the mid-1980s to serve as the city's police station.
