History

Vivian Cemetery lies in the Cometa community of far southwestern Zavala County and is named for the Vivian family, among the first settlers of the area around 1867. Established near the turn of the twentieth century, it was, by 1988, virtually all that remained of Cometa aside from a scattering of small farms.
