Dallas-Fort Worth lives and breathes sport, and this driving loop visits the places where it happens. It starts at Fair Park's Cotton Bowl, the grand 1930 stadium that hosted Texas football for generations, then swings through the venues that came after: the downtown Dallas arena shared by the Mavericks and Stars, the twin Arlington palaces where the Rangers and Cowboys play, Fort Worth's Dickies Arena and its great speedway to the north, and the Cowboys' lavish Frisco headquarters. It closes at Toyota Stadium, home of FC Dallas and the National Soccer Hall of Fame. Between them these stops touch all four of the metroplex's major-league teams plus the NFL's regional presence and big-time motorsport. The venues are spread across four cities, so plan a half- to full-day drive and check event schedules before you go.
