History

The City Public Service Company Building housed the headquarters of San Antonio's municipally owned gas and electric utility (today CPS Energy) near Navarro and Villita Streets downtown. The city acquired the utility's gas and electric operations in 1942, and the building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
