History
The Charles Roessler House is one of the historic homes of the Houston Heights, a planned suburb founded in 1891 by Oscar Martin Carter's Omaha and South Texas Land Company and linked to Houston by an electric streetcar line. The Heights was an independent city from 1896 until its annexation by Houston in 1918. The house is individually listed on the National Register of Historic Places under the 'Historic Resources of Houston Heights' multiple property submission.
