History

Robert W. Montgomery (died 1837) fought at the Battle of San Jacinto with Captain Henry Teal's company of regulars. He is buried in Houston's Founders Memorial Cemetery, the city's oldest burial ground, where the State of Texas placed Centennial monuments in 1936 honoring veterans of the Texas Revolution.
