History

Casey Cemetery is a small burial ground near the community of Caviness in north-central Lamar County, with roughly sixty-five recorded graves. It lies in the farming area about eight miles north of Paris that took its name from early settler Sidney Caviness. The cemetery preserves interments from the families of that rural community.
