History

Littlejohn Cemetery lies in northwestern Lamar County near the community of Chicota and takes its name from the Littlejohn family, early settlers of the area. Its burials date to at least the late nineteenth century; among those interred is William John Thomas Littlejohn, who died at Chicota in 1890. It should not be confused with the Fairland-Littlejohn Cemetery within the city of Paris.
