History

Melvin Cemetery serves the town of Melvin in western McCulloch County, which grew up along the railroad during the county's boom decade between 1900 and 1910, when McCulloch's population jumped from about 3,960 to more than 13,400. The cemetery is laid out in two sections and holds several hundred graves dating to the community's early-twentieth-century founding.
