History

Stacy Cemetery lies in northwestern McCulloch County about six miles north of Doole on FM 503. The land was donated by T. A. Powell, who stipulated that anyone could be buried there without charge; he also gave the adjacent tract for a one-room schoolhouse. The grounds hold several hundred graves and are maintained by the Doole-Stacy Cemetery Association.
