History

Brewster Cemetery lies in southwestern Red River County south of Clarksville on FM 909. The Methodist Episcopal Church south of Brewster acquired part of the Lucy Ann Collum survey from R. J. and Mollie Elder in 1933. The oldest marked grave, Maudie Elder, dates to 1895, and about 149 burials had been documented by 2004.
