History

Dean Cemetery is a family burial ground in the northwestern quadrant of Red River County, southeast of Detroit on the Edward Dean headright survey. The oldest marked grave is that of Edward M. Dean, who died in February 1842, making it one of the county's older cemeteries, and several later 19th-century burials were marked with newer stones. About 67 burials had been documented by 2004.
