History

Leesville Cemetery lies in the northwestern quadrant of Red River County behind the Leesville Baptist Church, about 4.3 miles east of Woodland on FM 195. A 1908 deed conveyed five acres of the Asa Jarmon survey from A. B. Woods to the Leesville Missionary Baptist Church. The first marked burial was Ruby M. Fisher Johnson, who died in May 1921.
