History

Balmorhea Cemetery serves the small farming town of Balmorhea in southern Reeves County, a community platted in 1906 as irrigated agriculture spread around the reliable flow of nearby San Solomon Springs. The burial ground lies about a mile northwest of town off County Road 327 and is maintained today by the Reeves County Road & Bridge Department, which oversees both the Balmorhea and Saragosa cemeteries.
