History

Cornersville Cemetery serves the old farming community of Cornersville in southeastern Hopkins County, on State Highway 11 about eighteen miles southeast of Sulphur Springs. The settlement was active by 1869, when Dr. J. P. Anderson kept a store and practiced medicine there, and it supported a school and churches into the 20th century. The cemetery endures as one of the community's lasting landmarks.
