History

The Hale-Houston House at 706 Guadalupe Street is among the earliest homes in Austin's Bremond Block, built before 1860 with additional work in 1863, and was later the home of a son-in-law of John Bremond Jr. It contributes to the National Register historic district recognized in 1970.
