History

Longstreet Cemetery is a historically African American burial ground near New Waverly in southeastern Walker County, located just off the interstate frontage road near the intersection of FM 1375 and I-45. It contains more than 200 recorded graves and is included in the Walker County Historical Commission's inventory of the county's cemeteries.
