A small cemetery cluster on Seguin's east side holds an unusual concentration of Texas Republic-era soldiers: an Alamo courier who rode out just before the fort fell, his brother who fought at San Jacinto, two more veterans of the same campaigns, and — a short drive away — a Civil War-era marker naming two Guadalupe County brothers who became Confederate generals. This tour follows Guadalupe County's soldiers across two wars, from Star and Wreath graves placed feet apart to a colonel whose single career touched the Revolution, the Rangers, and the Confederacy all at once.
