History
The Pix Building is a three-story brick Greek Revival structure built in 1858, making it one of the oldest buildings in downtown Galveston. It is associated with the family of Charles Hodgeson Pix, English merchants who came to Galveston in 1838 and imported goods directly from London. The building, on Post Office Street between 21st and 22nd Streets, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
