History
The Pioneer Village Living History Center in Gonzales, known simply as "The Village," gathers a replica settlement of about ten historic structures relocated from around Gonzales County. Its buildings include an 1892 Greek Revival house museum, a blacksmith shop and broom factory, 1830s and 1840s log homes, a smokehouse, and the 1870s Hamon Church. The nonprofit center preserves these donated buildings and offers tours, demonstrations, and battle reenactments through the year.
