History

Frith-Jones Cemetery lies about two miles west of Jefferson along State Highway 49 in Marion County. Established in 1876, the small burial ground contains roughly eleven graves, many of them above-ground brick crypts. It received Historic Texas Cemetery designation in 2006, with a marker installed the following year.
