History

Griffin Cemetery is a Griffin-family burial ground in the Griffins Chapel area off State Highway 36 between Cameron and Milano, near the Hoyte community. Its graves date to the 1800s and include early family members such as John Griffin (died 1887) and Joe Griffin (died 1905), and sunken unmarked areas suggest it also served as a community cemetery. It lies on private property and is not easily accessed.
