History

Cedar Creek Cemetery in southeastern Red River County is associated with the Annona Methodist Episcopal Church, which received an acre of the John Sweitzer survey by an 1883 deed, with two more acres added in 1939. Its oldest marked grave, that of Martha Jane Rosser Duke, dates to 1852, making it among the county's earlier burial grounds.
