History
This house was the Abilene home of merchant William "Will" A. Minter, who founded Minter's Dry Goods in 1900, the same year he married Mabel Montgomery. Minter's store operated for decades in downtown Abilene, and the family were considered charter citizens of the city. The residence was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992 as part of the Historic and Architectural Resources of Abilene.
