History

Magnolia Springs Cemetery adjoins the Magnolia Springs Missionary Baptist Church about 3.25 miles north of Bronson in the piney woods of San Augustine County, reached by a dirt county road off US 96. The rural burial ground holds roughly 82 identifiable graves, among them Primitive Baptist minister J. M. Marshall (1844-1920), and reflects the Baptist heritage of this corner of deep East Texas.
