History
Eliasville Cemetery serves the Young County community of Eliasville, a settlement founded in the 1870s on land owned by J.L. Dobbs and named for Elias De Long, who opened the town's first store. The burial ground straddles the Young–Stephens county line, with the larger portion in Young County, and later received an addition donated by King and Teena Smith. The Eliasville Old Settlers Reunion has gathered near the cemetery each June since 1952, keeping alive the memory of the once-thriving mill-and-oil town after its 20th-century decline.
