History

Reilly Springs Cemetery serves the rural Reilly Springs community in western Hopkins County, a settlement whose roots reach back to the 1840s. In 1948 the town still supported two churches, a store, a cotton gin, a justice court, and a three-teacher school, though its population steadily declined after World War II. The cemetery, documented in the book Hopkins County Cemeteries, records more than a thousand burials from the community's families.
