History
The 1916 Fort Worth Club Building was designed by the firm of Sanguinet & Staats, with drafter John James Pollard taking the lead, and built by Scottish-born contractor William Bryce at a cost of $180,000. The six-story Classical Revival building replaced an earlier three-story clubhouse and contained club rooms, one of the finest libraries in the state, and a sixth-floor dining room. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
