History
The Abilene & Northern Railway Company was organized in the first decade of the twentieth century and completed track between Abilene and Anson by 1907, lines later operated by the Abilene & Southern Railway. This depot survives from that era of West Texas rail expansion and is recognized among the Historic and Architectural Resources of Abilene on the National Register.
